How it Works

If you’re considering me to be your wedding photographer, this page will give you an idea on how the Studio Murano process works.

Initial Enquiry

The first step is getting in touch with me, either via the enquiry form, or by emailing me at eric@studiomurano.com.au

Video Call or Coffee Date

After a few messages over email, we’ll schedule an evening where we can either talk over a video call, or we meet at a Cafe for an in-person chat – coffee is my shout!

This consultation is your chance to ask me any questions you might have about working with me. It’s also a good opportunity to see if we’re a good fit.

Engagement Session

Having an engagement session gives you the chance to see what it feels like to have someone photograph you for a extended periods of time.

It’s also a no-obligation way to find out if you like the way I work and if you like the photos I take of you, before you book.

There is no fee for the session itself. You can purchase individual photos from the online gallery that I set up after the session.

If you decide to book me for your wedding, you will receive a credit for 10 digital photos, and if you purchased 10 digital photos before you booked, that amount is credited to your wedding package.

Booking your wedding date

Once you decide to book me, let me know and I’ll send you the contract that you can sign online, as well as the deposit invoice.

To book me for your wedding you will need to pay the deposit and sign the contract. The date isn’t booked until both of those are done.

I can’t hold dates and I won’t be able to tell you if another couple is interested in your date. It’s always first come, first served.

First Timeline Review

It’s important to discuss your timeline early, even if you don’t have everything organised yet. We’ll discuss the amount of time I would need to cover the thing that you would want covered. Having this conversation early gives you time to adjust start times for different parts of the day.

8 weeks out - Second Timeline review

Over this video call, I will walk through the different times you have set for when the ceremony starts, when hair and make up will be done, when the guests are seated at the reception, and any other key times of the day.

There’s a chance that I might need you to move some times around, such as when hair and make up are done and what time the guests are seated. Moving times might be necessary to allow me enough time to get things done.

1 month before the wedding - Balance Due

A reminder will be sent to you a week before the balance is due. You’ll be sent a link to the invoice with instructions on how to pay.

1 week before the wedding - Questionnaire & Timeline Updates

A reminder will be sent to you a week before the balance is due. You’ll be sent a link to the invoice with instructions on how to pay.

You’ll also be sent a link to the questionnaire. The questionnaire will have questions for things like key people’s names, names of your other vendors (so we can make sure we send them photos after the wedding), and the list of the groups you’d like formal photos of after the ceremony.

If there any changes to the key times, please let me know at this point (the earlier the better).

Key times include: when the hair and make up artists are due to finish, when the ceremony starts and when guests are seated for the reception.

The night before the wedding - Room numbers and Last Minute Details

The night before I will send you a txt to ask for hotel numbers, any last minute details that I need to know, and to give you peace of mind that I am actually coming to the wedding!
